ITF Congress 2018
Transport workers building power
Singapore, 14-20 October
The ITF (International Trans-port
Workers` Federation)
Congress did include
participants from around 140 countries,
representing over 600 transport unions
with more than 19 million members. On
seen there was more than 2,000 participants.
Paddy Crumlin, President of the International Trans-port
Workers’ Federation, opened the 44th ITF Congress in
Singapore. ITFs history is already 122 years old. Both
president Paddy Crumlin and general secretary Stephen
Cotton was re-elected for incoming 5 years.
The Congress aimed to give transport workers a
collective voice and set the agenda for the transport
industry for the next fi ve years. It also discussed how
digitalization is reshaping global transport, along with
strategic policies.
Many good guidelines and decisions were made to
strengthen transport workers rights all over the world. •
